MALVERN TOWN CENTRE OFFICE BUILDING SOLD FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
August 2018Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has sold a 7,000 sq ft office building, close to the centre of Great Malvern in Worcestershire, for residential development, for £800,000, following final and best offers.
Acting on behalf of Malvern Hills District Council, Mike Pritchard, commercial negotiator at GJS Dillon, sold Brunel House, Portland Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 2TB, a 7,040 sq ft office building on a 0.482 acre site, to Halkin Roberts LLP, a joint venture between Guthrie Roberts Ltd and Halkin Development Ltd, for residential development, subject to planning approval.
The two storey detached office building with 29 car parking spaces is located in a mixed commercial and residential area and was previously occupied by Malvern Hills District Council.
Mr Pritchard says: “Following extremely high interest from all sorts of purchasers, many of which were interested in converting the building to residential or hotel use, we went to final and best offers, easily exceeding the guide price.”
