Worcestershire-based commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has taken over the management of a charitable foundation’s commercial property portfolio.

GJS Dillon will manage four properties on behalf of the Elmley Foundation, collecting the rent and the service charge from the tenants and managing the fabric of the buildings.

The Elmley Foundation is an independent grant-making charity which supports the arts in the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, providing grants and sponsoring schemes to develop the arts scene, totalling some £300,000 a year.

Endowed by the late Countess Beauchamp of Madresfield Court near Malvern, it seeks to encourage all forms of arts, crafts and design in the two counties upon which the occupants of Madresfield have had a large influence over many generations.

GJS Dillon’s Commercial Property Manager Michelle Whitehead will provide the day to day management services for the mix of office, leisure and industrial buildings in Worcester, Walsall and Telford.  She says: “This is an important new instruction for our Property Management department as we seek to expand this side of our business and take on the management of more properties.”

Elmley Foundation Director John de la Cour says: “The income from our investment properties is vital in resourcing the grants which we can make each year, so it is important to have a trusted local professional firm managing them on our behalf.”
