GJS Dillon supports Bromsgrove's Youth Hub to successfully relocate.

January 2025

GJS Dillon have supported Bromsgrove Youth and Community Hub known as “The Hub”  to obtain a lease on a fantastic property in Bromsgrove. This move has enabled The Hub to obtain larger premises in order to meet their current needs.

The Hub provides young people based in Bromsgrove a safe place where they can seek help and support from professionals in a range of topics including relationship advice, mental health, sexual health and supporting self-esteem. The Hub also provides alternative school provision for children who are unable to attend mainstream school. They offer life skills such as cooking and budgeting to those children who need that extra help to become happy, healthy and successful adults.

The team have been hard at work over the past few months renovating the property at 22 Market Street, situated in Bromsgrove Town Centre, to the southern end of the High Street. The Hub will be moving all the provision into their new building by the end of January 2025. They are continuing to work on a Sensory Room, Music room, more youth activities and possibly even a gym, the team are so enthusiastic and passionate to ensure this is an inclusive facility.

Sarah McIntosh, Operational Manager, The Hub comments ,”We have all been working extremely hard to get the renovation finished.  I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been so generous in helping us with their time and materials for the refurbishment. Your donations and support has helped us to provide a fantastic youth centre for young people within Bromsgrove. A special mention goes to UK Electrical, New starts, Worcester Bosch, Redditch Skip Hire and Bromsgrove District Housing Trust, to name just a few of the companies, whose support have made a huge difference.

We are still in need of support with food donations, fold away furniture for meeting space and other youth related activities such as board games if anyone would like to help, please email us on info@thehubbromsgrove.org.”

Roy Wilkes, Commercial Negotiator, GJS Dillon adds, “The Hub really is the heart of the Bromsgrove community. They offer a fantastic service to young people and also host  a number of activities and events the whole community  benefit from. These are great premises and a huge thanks must go to Jim Weston the landlord of the property for all his hard work and efforts. Having dedicated personal time to mentoring, Jim knows how important a community group like The Hub is.”
