A WORCESTERSHIRE specialist insurance broker is preparing for expansion by moving into new offices in Malvern town centre following a deal transacted by independent property consultancy GJS Dillon.

Balens Ltd has taken over offices formerly occupied by JobCentre Plus in Portland Road. The brokerage plans to move into the offices from its current location in Nimrod House, Sandy’s Road, Malvern.

Balens, a family firm established in 1950, is a specialist insurance broker for health, well-being and not-for-profit organisations. By moving to Portland Road they will be doubling their office space.

The modern two-story purpose-built offices in Portland Road cover nearly 7,000 sq ft and include 18 parking spaces. GJS Dillon sold the offices to Balens on behalf of landlords Stanton Properties.

Toby Fellows of GJS Dillon said: “We had a lot of interest in this well-located office building, including from property development companies. As a result of this the premises sold for significantly above the guide price.”
