GJS Dillon Instructed To Sell Bromsgrove Police Station

May 2014

BROMSGROVE’S former police station has been put up for sale.

The building, in The Crescent close to Worcester Road, has become vacant after the opening of the new joint police and fire station in School Drive.

The former station is originally Victorian but with substantial modern extensions and a car park at the rear.

Property consultants GJS Dillon, tasked with marketing the 20,000 square foot station, says the station is expected to attract a great deal of interest particularly from national residential and retirement sector developers as well as a range of potential local occupiers.

John Dillon, partner at GJS Dillon, said: “This is a well located site, next to a modern residential development and high quality refurbished offices, and close to the town centre.

“We expect interest from parties who will look to completely redevelop the site, as well as from those interested in refurbishing and re-using some or all of the existing buildings.

“We will work closely with West Mercia Police estates team and the planning department at Bromsgrove District Council to ensure the best solution for this high profile site.

“As a local business it is particularly exciting to be marketing this site, which will focus once again the attention of a number of high profile developers and investors on Bromsgrove.”
