Refurbished space would turn the tide for Worcester’s commercial property market

August 2023

A unique single storey property in one of Worcester’s most scenic locations has been sold by GJS Dillon.

Acting on behalf of the Vendor, Andrew Lewis, GJS Dillon’s Commercial Agency Director, negotiated the sale of Danks 2 which is single storey 2,796 sq ft character property. Constructed originally as a boat house, the building comprises a period property of traditional brick construction and is approximately half a mile from Worcester City Centre. Located within the Diglis Basin, the property has wonderful views and a water frontage to three sides, east, south and west of the Worcester to Birmingham Canal.

‘This kind of property is fairly unique in Worcester’ says Mr Lewis ‘As well as an open plan main area, it offers separate storage accommodation which is ideal. New space for the SME market is needed desperately, and the City would benefit considerably if more refurbished space such as Danks2 was available.’

The property’s Vendor Mike Ballone says ‘GJS Dillon were very helpful both with the change of the property’s use and with negotiating a complex sale’
